**DRAFT — NOT LEGAL ADVICE.** This is a practical starting draft prepared to
cover the standard bases. It should be reviewed by a licensed attorney
before you publish or launch, especially because Parsellion processes other
parties' business and financial documents. Bracketed items marked **[LIKE THIS]**
need your input or a lawyer's confirmation.
Parsellion ("Parsellion," "we," "us," or "our") is a document-extraction service
operated by **Anil Cheerala**, a sole proprietor based in the State of
Texas, United States, doing business as "Parsellion."
If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at
**anil.parsellion@gmail.com**.
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it
with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Parsellion web application and
API at parsellion.ai.
Parsellion is intended for business users located in the **United States**. It is
not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information
from children. We do not currently target or market the service to users outside
the United States.
**Account information.** When you register, we collect your email address and a
securely hashed password. If you enable two-factor authentication, we store the
information needed to support it. We do not store your password in readable form.
**Documents and their contents.** The core of the service is processing documents
you provide. When you upload a document — or connect a source (such as Google
Drive or an email inbox) from which documents are imported — we receive the
document and its contents, and we generate extracted structured data from it
(for example, invoice numbers, totals, line items, and dates). We store both the
extracted data and, depending on your settings, the source document, so the
service can display, match, and organize your documents.
**Usage records.** We keep records of processing activity (such as the number of
pages processed and timestamps) to operate the service, enforce plan limits, and
maintain your account history.
**Connection credentials.** If you connect Google Drive or an email inbox, we
store the access tokens needed to import your documents. These tokens are
encrypted at rest. You can disconnect a source at any time, which stops further
importing.
We do **not** use third-party advertising networks, and we do **not** currently
run third-party web analytics or behavioral tracking on the service. **[CONFIRM:
if you add analytics later, this section must be updated.]**
We use the information we collect to:
We do **not** sell your personal information or your document data. We do **not**
use the contents of your documents to train our own models, and we do not permit
our processing vendors to use your content to train their models where such an
option is available to us. **[CONFIRM this statement matches your actual vendor
settings — see Section 5.]**
To operate Parsellion, we use a limited number of trusted third-party service
providers that process data on our behalf, strictly to perform their function
and not for their own purposes. These include providers for:
Document processing involves transmitting the contents of documents you submit
to an AI processing provider for that purpose. If your documents contain
sensitive information, please consider this before uploading.
We require our service providers to protect your data and do not permit them to
use it for their own purposes. A current list of our sub-processors is available
to customers on request. If we make material changes to how we use service
providers, we will update this policy.
We share information only:
to protect the rights, safety, or property of Parsellion or others; and
acquired or transferred, subject to this policy.
We do not otherwise share, rent, or sell your information.
We retain your account information and document data for as long as your account is
active. You may have retention controls available in your account settings that
automatically clear processed results after a period you choose. When you delete a
document, or close your account, we delete the associated data within a reasonable
period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations or resolve
disputes. Backups are retained on a rolling basis and are overwritten over time.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption of
sensitive credentials at rest, encrypted off-site backups, hashed passwords,
optional two-factor authentication, and access controls. However, no method of
transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute
security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

To make a request regarding your data, contact **[YOUR CONTACT EMAIL]**. **[If you
later serve California residents, CCPA may grant specific rights — add a California
section then. If you ever serve EU/UK users, GDPR applies and this policy needs
substantial additions. This draft assumes US-only, non-California-specific.
Confirm with a lawyer.]**
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last
updated" date above, and, for material changes, provide notice through the service
or by email. Your continued use of Parsellion after a change takes effect means you
accept the updated policy.
